Underwear for Humanity, My Little Bookshop win National Retail Awards 2023

Underwear for Humanity and My Little Bookshop took the spotlight at the recent National Retail Awards, bagging the titles of Small Retailer of the Year – Online and Small Retailer of the Year – Shopfront, respectively.

Underwear for Humanity claims to sell underwear made of sustainable materials and produced at certified ethical factories that pay 60 per cent above of living wage with good conditions and benefits. The company also recycles underwear in Australia.

My Little Bookshop is located on the Rockingham foreshore and is Western Australia’s only travelling bookshop. 

“Our members, and the hardworking talent that exists across the sector, have excelled in the face of the industry’s most challenging years. The awards were an opportunity to celebrate their achievements,” said Lindsay Carroll, deputy CEO at the National Retail Association, which organises the awards.

Other award recipients are designer rug shop Miss Amara, which was named the Medium Retailer of the Year – Online and haircare products and services provider Price Attack, which received the Medium Retailer of the Year – Shopfront trophy.

The NRA gave the Large Retailer of the Year – Online award to Appliances Online and the Large Retailer – Shopfront award to Kmart Australia.
